This is the recipe my mother has used for decades, no idea where she got it from. I don’t know how closely this matches anyone else’s tradition, but this is ours. Mom’s original notes: I began making this recipe in the 60’s. The original recipe called for 1/2 cup blanched almonds and 1/2 cup chopped citron. I used this the first year. Karl’s Dad (my Grandpa, from Germany) liked the stollen but not the nuts and citron. I (my Mom) didn’t care much for the nuts and citron either.
